One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. -Nietzsche |

Customary Expectations You never want to do the expected. Consider why the mob acts as they do. They are trained to be customary, which means to repeat rituals in place of one's own thought, feeling, and spirit. Would you renounce your soul that appears but once in this universe for the sake of appearing customary? This is also why they insist on an apology, demanding that one renounce themselves for what they would otherwise do again in the same situation. They are jackals, and their instinct is to pounce when one is groveling and weak rather than poised for a vicious battle.
