One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. -Nietzsche |

Functional Alcoholism There's nothing creative about where you put your keys, wallet, or cell phone, and time spent looking for them is only wasted. Functional alcoholics arrange their daily lives so they can perform at the level of average people by not expending effort on routine tasks by transforming them into complex dramas. The drinker's perception of the world might be minimized, and still they'll be able to locate their keys, wallet, and cell phone perfectly, as those live in one place and are methodically returned there. Solve the trivial so it no longer imposes on greater aims. Prev: Media is a Victim Too Next: Failure and Illusion [2013] [2012] [2011] [2010] [2009] [2008] [2007] [2006] |
