At the bottom of male fantasy about women is desire not for unattainable perfection or any exceptional traits, but merely a good and sensible woman who occasionally exercises and usually eats healthy food in normal human quantities. Basic fitness and discipline vanish with the advent of progress, fleeing as quickly as aptitude.

The double envelopment manifests as divorce, which means losing half your wealth while being required to pay alimony for decades or life, even if the woman's infidelity was the cause for her initiating divorce. This feeling of entitlement stems from archaic sexism that presumes women are unable to take care of themselves and lack basic skills valuable to employers.

But women are independent and don't need patronizing charity. As 51% of the population in the U.S., they are a powerful minority able to look after themselves. Women are 67% of college graduates and rising. They are strong, brave, creative, hard-working, self-sufficient, and surely do not want state violence threatening men to provide welfare and treat them as pity cases.

Marriage became a business deal, and the government promised to offer wealth upon the dissolution of marriage because it too received a cut of the divorce, and soon what was once sacred had been vulgarized out of greed.

Needless complexity can be quickly discarded, removing money interests from marriage and restoring general health. Doing so would quickly return marriage rates to previous levels before money and obesity were added as new opponents of mutual joy.
