One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. -Nietzsche |

Communication as Noise Gossip is worse than worthless because it disrupts consciousness with nonsense and interrupts silence to voice petty concerns. Even more egregious is idle babble people use to discharge trivial events that overload their heads. Where gossip purports to be about something relevant (e.g. Susie was kissing a boy by the river, and you should have a reaction to that), idle babble is just a story with no point (e.g. There was a guy with a red shirt at the supermarket and he purchased chicken.) Using another person to flush mental damage is a loss proposition for others, and should be considered a rude, selfish, harmful act. Communication must have relevance and value, otherwise it is a negative event to avoid. We do well to neither impose it upon others nor have it imposed upon us unless it has a beneficial and enriching purpose.
